Rental Requirements

The Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt offers rental assistance to qualified applicants 62 years or older and persons with mobility impairments that will benefit from the features of an accessible unit under Section 8 housing program of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt. Elderly and mobility impaired individuals who wish to apply for housing must meet the income and screening criteria as set forth by HUD and the Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt's Tenants Selection Plan (see Rental Requirements - Qualifications for Housing - Tenant Selection Plan) to be eligible to reside at the Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt.

The monthly rental amount includes the following utilities: water, sewer, trash, and basic cable.

* Utility allowance is the amount that HUD allows the facility to deduct off the residence total tenant payment to assist the resident to make timely payments on their utility bills.
